Kathy Brokos, Licensed Massage Practitioner
Do you suffer from sleepless nights? Suffer from anxiety or excessive stress? Have chronic aches and pains? My goal is to help your body achieve it’s natural balance through regular therapeutic massage therapy. I studied at the Community College of Baltimore County and received an AA Degree in Massage Therapy with 900 hours of hands-on training. My continuing education certifications include Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone, and Shiatsu Shin Tai massage techniques.
Thanks to my extensive training, I have the ability to draw from my toolbox of different modalities to incorporate the exact therapy to use for your unique condition. I also possess an intuitive touch and sense for areas of muscle tightness, and can feel areas of your body that may not be “hurting” yet, and work out the tightness before it becomes a painful issue.
When not working, I enjoy sailing, and other water sports and a daily smoothie with fresh fruit, greens, and coconut milk! I come to Bodyworx with a great enthusiasm to serve the community with Therapeutic Massage.

Amy Frondoso, Reflexologist/Reiki Practitioner
Amy Frondoso received her Maryland reflexology certification from Baltimore School of Reflexology. Her Reiki training is with the world renowned, Pamela Miles.
Amy began practicing Reiki in 2007 and her enthusiasm for Reiki practice was immeasurable. Having the ability to help herself feel better on every level — body, mind, and spirit — literally in the palms of her hands was so inspiring. It helped her feel she could meet whatever challenges life brought her way. Amy’s aspiration is to facilitate people to realize they can feel better and be happier. When we feel better, we function better, and we make better choices.
Reflexology was introduced to Amy when she was volunteering at the hospital, by a doctor that was receiving a Reiki treatment from her. With her interest of anatomy and physiology, it was the perfect modality that did not involve being invasive or the “sight of blood”. She researched the benefits of reflexology and immediately knew it was the right path for her. The self-practice of reflexology validated how effective it could be on her overall health.
Amy volunteers at Annapolis Senior Center and Pasadena Senior Center providing Reiki to staff and members. Her volunteer work with Reiki on doctors and nurses at Howard County General Hospital, provides awareness of the benefits that Reiki can offer. During the 15 minute sessions, 99% of them “begin to snore”. That always puts a smile on her face. The most endowing of her volunteering is with The JCC in Manhattan for the Breast Cancer Spa Day. To have the honor in sharing her Reiki experience with such resilient human beings is a true blessing and the primary purpose of her passion.
Benefits of Reiki
The following are commonly reported benefits of Reiki. Although at this time, the evidence for most of these benefits is anecdotal, there are research data showing Reiki treatment can be effective for relaxation, pain management, reduced anxiety, reduced depression, and enhanced well-being:
- Pain management
- Reduced anxiety
- Reduced depression
- Improved sleep
- Improved digestion
- Enhanced well-being
- Stronger self-esteem
- Support for substance abuse recovery
- Accelerated surgical recovery
- Reduced side effects from radiation, chemotherapy and Rx meds
- Greater self-awareness
- Greater ease and satisfaction in relationship
- Heightened intuition
When you receive Reiki healing, you’ll lie fully clothed on a treatment table while the Reiki practitioner places hands lightly on or just above your head and torso.
Benefits of Reflexology
- Reflexology promotes the balance of the body’s systems and the normalization of the body’s rhythms naturally
- It reduces stress which brings about relaxation
- Reflexology improves blood circulation which in turn improves the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to cells and the removal of waste
Reflexology is a non-invasive, complementary modality involving thumb and finger techniques to apply alternating pressure to reflexes shown on reflex maps of the body, located on the feet, hands and outer ears.
